Travel Tip Tuesday!

Travel tip #12: For long flights, especially those overseas, consider packing yourself a personal spa in your carry on! It’ll help you relax and make your flight more enjoyable. You may even forget that you’re flying 14 hours around the globe as you get lost in your own soothing world at 30,000 feet! Here’s what we recommend packing for your “spa”:

  • Cozy socks (at home, we refer to them as fuzzy ‘lounging socks’)
  • Eye mask
  • Ear plugs (a must-have on all plane rides)
  • Nature sounds or calming music on your iPod
  • Aromatherapy lotion (just be conscious of your seatmates – you don’t want it to be overpowering)
  • Blanket (usually provided on long or overseas flights)
  • Pillow (I always bring my travel pillow – smells like home and I don’t have to worry about anyone else’s dried drool where I rest my head)
  • Water (drink lots of it! It helps reduce jetlag symptoms)
Just remember to always be considerate of the people sitting around you. Happy seatmates make for happy flights.

  1. Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for first-time blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

    • Hey there! Thanks for checking out our blog! We apologize your first comment disappeared – not sure what happened. Congrats on being a new blogger and welcome to the club! As for blogging tips, we try to consider our audience when writing and direct our posts to those types of people. (In our case, it’s a lot of travelers, adventurers, nature-folk, etc. but we try to include posts that others will enjoy reading as well.) Because both of us are visual ladies, we try to include lots of photos or pictures that pertain to our blog posts. Lastly, we think variety in blog topic is really important. You want to capture attention, retain interest and keep people coming back to your blog. We’re still new at this too but those are some tips we try to live by. Hope they help!

  2. so much fantastic information on here, : D.
