Studio Gorm, based in Eugene, Oregon (USA), has designed a ‘tabletop ecosystem’ that is both convenient and efficient. Complete with a compost bin (and worms), spaces for herbs, dry goods, cooking utensils and evaporative cooling fridge box, this living kitchen is GREAT green way to reduce, reuse and recycle.
It’s designed so that water from your hand-washed dishes drip dries and waters the herbs and other plants below. Any organic waste you may cut on the table can easily be thrown away into the compost bin. Then, consider using the compost for soil for your herbs/plants! The cycle is awesome and a great way to be GREEN.
